LaST ♫ LISTEN to "FREE" ♫ http://menagerieentertainment.com/radio_circus_volume_two/s/2_12_free

Dino Ciciotte - Bass Gino Cicicotte - Vocals/guitar Marco Villegas - Drums Michael Capparelli - Lead Guitar

LAST is a pop-alternative band from Orange County. They have a good sound, very smooth, kind of similar to a lot of ‘80’s bands... -- Indy Rock Ideal Magazine We were told they hadn't played much live, but we hardly noticed: they already have a polished, radio-friendly,modern rock sound. -- Rich Kane, OC WEEKLY LaST was formed in the summer of 97, Through good times and bad the band has conquered many battles and frustrations. The band was formed by Lead singer Gino Ciciotte and guitar player Michael Capparelli, with nothing more than 2 acoustic guitars and their voices they played the coffee house circuit. After many months of playing acoustic shows Gino's Brother Dino (bass) joined the band. . Now almost formed they just needed one more link.................Marco(drums) was called up; he was a good friend of all of us from high school...........Marco joined. LaST started playing 2-3 times a week in every bar and club in Orange County CA. With no tape or CD, they conquered the scene with strong songs and total dedication. Practicing 3 times a week in a junkyard for the first 6 months of their careers taught them never to take anything for granted. In the fall of 98 they started to record, their self titled CD LaST. It was recorded in mere 19 hours at "For The Record" in Orange, CA. People started to talk about the band that recorded such a phenomenal record in such little time. With no budget they bought a computer, burned all their CD, and started selling CD's at shows. LaST is best described as modern pop/rock with influences such as The Cure, U2, Depeche Mode,to Pink Floyd, the band has been compared to such huge stars as U2, Duran Duran, and Radiohead, but Last is unlike any band. They are new and exciting and soon everyone will be singing their songs. LaST is one of the hottest new bands to come out Orange County,

Scotland Yard is a pop rock group from Los AngelesCalifornia: Scotland Yard began when Chris Hill began demoing songs in 1989 for a female fronted new wave pop group. In 1991 Kim Cahill responded to an out of date ad for a singer in a local industry trade magazine. The edgy pop rock sound from the duo would catch an ear in the Los Angeles and Orange county music scene.

The addition of a live band and constant touring would break the band out of its Orange County home turf. Numerous compilations and college radio air play helped the band build a devoted following across the USA and overseas. Local live shows featured casino nights with play money, food and prizes, raffle giveaways and swag bags for the audiences. The band licensed merchandise for everything from T-shirts to candy bars.

After the second CD release, the band's revolving lineup and shifting influences lead to Hill and Cahill parting ways. The group was dissolved in January 2004 after the recording of their third and final studio collaboration.

The last single release, "Wake Up", released under Cahill's name, with no promotion met with limited success, and the group ended their label Interpol Records.

Notable bands that Scotland Yard opened for are
Lenny Kravitz, Lit, Berlin, Missing Persons, Dave Wakling (General Public),
Gene Loves Jezabel, John Easdale (Dramarama), and Martha Davis (The Motels).

The Band won one of the early contests on www.Garageband.com peaking at #1 in Pop out of 34,000 songs [1] and were number #1 on Australian radio's "World Underground charts" for more than 365 weeks. The Band's music was also featured on MTV's "Undressed" episode 432 and a Friends episode in Italy.
