im watching primetime now on channel 7 abc
and it is exposing the need for assisting seniors
who are now forced to raise their grandchildren because of both parent abandonment
the age range is all the way to their late 80's !
meaning one featured grandma will be 95 when her grandson graduates
if she doesnt die before then, that is..which is likely
so he gets to live life knowing it wont be long before he will be abandoned yet once again

can you imagine ?
many are living on minimal income with no government foster care assistance and other major benefits that would be available if they were not related
and even worse, many have to move from their comfortable familiar "low and/or fixed income friendly" retirement home communities that are STRICTLY SENIORS ONLY with NO EXCEPTIONS
