Subject: Tina's Military Son URGENT Prayer Request
This Memorial Day Weekend
we are blessed with the visit of My 22 yr old National Guard son David
who was expecting promotion to Seargent in Germany
and then duty in Kosovo
But instead, as I was just informed
during our Balboa Village FUNzone bayfront visit yesterday...
only steps away from the house where he was born
and only steps away in the opposite direction
from our recently redecorated for Memorial Day Weekend
Menagerie Castle Studio window display
featuring his framed photo...
...is now being deployed to Iraq for a minimum of one year.
or indefinitely much longer if anyone other than Mc Cain is elected.
He will be with us at ROCKharbor.org church main sanctuary
tomorrow at 11am
Please pray for confirmation of his eternal salvation
and for my composure
and victory over fear
with realization and focus on
appreciation for the blessing of a brave and loving son
Love one another just as I have loved you.
No one has greater love
and has shown stronger affection
than to give up his own life

Tuesday UPDATE
My musical genius son David left this morning
after changing all of the strings on my guitar
His impromtu multi genre mini concert was a reminder to me
of how dead I am in comparison
without experiencing the creation of live music
every day in "the castle" as I had been accustomed to
for most of my life.
So now I am done procrastinating
learning to play for myself at least good enough
to not forget the hundreds of songs I have half written
...to be embellished by "the professionals" later
lol
Which will be a blessing to remember as positive inspiration
as a result of this emotional rollercoaster weekend
ending with confirmation of my son's salvation
and his promise to pray everyday !
I gave him the cross necklace I had been saving for when he gets baptized
and a guardian praying angel charm
to remind him of his mom and many friends praying for him
and angelic protection
I am also grateful
that it must have been God's plan for me to recieve the disturbing news
during a relaxing lunch near the Balboa Island ferry watching the pelicans in the bay.
He knows that such a setting would be the best place for me to handle it.
Especially including the nostalgia of the restaurant location
almost directly in the middle of where he was born
and where I had just set up his photo in our Menagerie Castle Studio
window display last week.
Funny, after I stepped back to assess the patriotic theme redecoration
I had prayerful thoughts for
"the poor mothers who would be walking by who recently lost their sons in Iraq"
at the time thinking to myself...
" thank God at least my son won't be going there "
See what happens when you pray for empathy ?
