after several months of court proceedings regarding an incident of trespassing last year and then a couple of months following..use of marijuana...
this morning, my 15 yr old son julienne was sentenced to 60 days in juvenile hall as a result of violating court orders regarding curfue, association, noncompliance with deserved restrictions @ home & for not providing charactor letters that would have been available from his employers & multiple church youth leaders, if he would have taken any initiative to just ask
the fact that he chose not to, in spite of many reminders, including the generous provision of six previous extensions by the court,
not only demonstrates his lack of respect and appreciation of any authority,
but also another example of the frustration experienced in so many single mom households regarding the inability to enforce rules and any deserved restrictions
even tho his behavior and attitude justifies his placement in an institution more qualified to discipline,
and i believe this, as with every other life experience will be worked out for good and to the benefit of whatever ministry God has placed in his heart, which from his conversations, may involve assisting other youth dealing with his same issues resulitng from father abandonement....

still i couldnt stop thinking about how it felt to see "my little miracle child" being handcuffed and led away to prison...even the court attendants, security guard and judge who don't even know him were tearful
in spite of being certain that he must certainly have a huge destiny and devine purpose...
as i often reflect on how he had been resurrected after being born @ home before the arrival of any attendants not breathing looking like a greyish colored limp necked dead bird with the cord tightly wrapped around his neck 3 times as result of being 3 wks overdue
with memories of that trauma and now this even more painful experience
i was overwhelmed to say the least, and couldnt help crying through the first three explanations to inquiring friends who also love juienne as family
but then after a few hours, God allowed me to see the positive and some humor
which also includes the fact that ever since birth, he has been extremely sensory, especially regarding food.. and he loves to cook
so while his attorney was explaining the humiliating procedures and typical unattractive daily routine to expect, she also mentioned the possibility that, if he displayed cooperative behaviour & attitude, he would be invited away from the boredom by the staff to assist with more interesting daily chores such as food preparation
since he is so endearing and likeable, i envision him recieving favor with the staff and pray that along with utilizing this time for reflection and spiritual growth that he also may enjoy FREE COOKING LESSIONS !
