aka development of juvenile hall PREVENTION ministry ?
thank you for your prayers regarding julienne !
as a result,
on tuseday, 5/3 before my first once a week visit for "the parent" only, when i expected only to be delivering everyone's messages of encouragement and a gift bag i prepared full of "soft paper items allowed only"...
a Bible, family photo, colored copy of his baptism certificate, supplies for art, journaling and letter writing etc..
i recieved a call notifying me of an "unexpected, unusual favor" allowing julienne to be released on
"house arrest" (ankle bracelet phone & location monitor )
so he returned home after only having to serve 5 days..
(115 days less than the original manditory 120 day requested sentence )
after I arrived there at juvenile hall for the 2 hr release proceedings,
as soon as i "just happened" to meet a couple of chaplains
( who were not together and who only "stop by" once a week )
& was introduced to juliennes obviously kind and friendly probation officer,
( who we found out later "just happens" to be Christian and "just happens" to have a son who was mentored by one of juliennes RhYouth leaders)
i realized, also in answer to constant prayer regarding our "unconventional" creative ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT MEDIA ministry, that we are again "unconventionally" being provided with an additional divine assignment of others to collaborate with regarding sharing ALL of our experience & resources for "community enhancement"
which now, after much frustration, effort, time & expense to obtain,
also includes the compilation of some individuals, programs and ENTERTAINMENT MEDIA resources to educate, equip, and properly channel the skills and TALENT of youth and their parents,
before the occurrence of incidents resulting in the desperate necessity of such institutions…
…instead of only afterwards, as unfortunately seems to be the common procedure
and speaking of creative ARTs & TALENT…
while being led through a maze of hallways at the juvenile hall facility to sign a mountain of paperwork...(multiple agreements & legal waivers with descriptions of detailed restrictions affecting our entire household, including the interruption of phone and internet use…aka lack of family privacy, hiatis from home office business income and ministry correspondence for 27 days )
…I noticed and inquired about the amazing ART displayed throughout the hallways & office cubicles
and found out that all of it was CREATEd by some of the TALENTed longterm "juvenile guests" there
and just a few weeks ago I was notified by a juvenile hall ministry leader seeking assistance in distributing information, regarding a need for MUSICIANS to lead WORSHIP for the services that take place there every Sunday
how "ironic" that my own child would "just happen" to end up attending & benefiting from one of these,
as he did this past weekend
and, btw …
while he was there, he did receive favor from staff members and was invited to assist with meal distribution
not exactly the cooking lessons I mentioned were a possibility in my previous message, when expecting his long term stay…
...but at least FOOD ( culinary ARTs ) related..
isn’t it awesome how God CREATIVEly provides demonstration of His loving care
even through & during discipline ?

the "home arrest" agreement also includes the following …
participation in an assigned work program this first weekend only aka trash cleanup or ditch digging
attendance @ the horizon school in santa ana m-f 7:30am til 4:30 pm
(responsible to arrive at each assigned location on his own aka the bus)
all house monitored phone calls are allowed at 10 min intervals only
no visitors allowed,
but he has been blessed to recieve "special permission" to attend youth group on thursdays and church on sunday nights with isaac or mike rizzi
